Tactical Carbine

For Armed Professionals

Course Description

This course is designed to develop armed professionals to achieve maximum proficiency with a duty carbine. Students will progress from basic handling and marksmanship to advanced shooting skills. This course will focus on techniques used in an urban/close quarters environment.

Course Goal

The student will develop skills that will increase their speed, accuracy and confidence with the carbine through a variety of modules.

  • Range Layout, Emergency Procedures & Safe Gun Handling

  • Rifle characteristics, gear & accessories

  • Shooting Fundamentals

  • Zeroing/sight-in procedures

  • Loading/Unloading

  • Magazine changes (admin, tactical and speed)

  • Shooting positions

  • Shooting Drills I

  • Performance Assessment

Level II

  • Secondary Firearm/Pistol Transitions

  • Transitioning to/from shooting positions

  • Geographical layout & tactical advantage

  • Barricades: Cover-vs-concealment

  • Shoot, move, communicate (Intro) 

  • Multiple shots at multiple targets

  • After the irons; sight management options (optics/co-witness/magnifiers)

  • Shooting Drills II

  • Performance Assessment

Level III

  • Low-light Training/Shooting

  • Shooting Drills III

  • Performance Assessment 

Level IV

  • Training Under Pressure/Time Constraints

  • Scenario Based Training

  • Shooting Drills IV

  • Performance Assessment 

Level V

  • Team Based Training

  • Shooting Drills V

  • Performance Assessment 

 

Pre-Requisites

Active Duty Law Enforcement/Police/Corrections/ Military, Licensed Armed Security/Armored Car Guard, Licensed Bail Enforcement Agents

  • 5-8, 1-1

Duration

  • 16-24 hours

Ammunition Requirements

  • 800rdsrifle or 200rds per two hour session

  • 200rds pistol or 50rds per two hour session

Required Gear

  • Carbine/pistol, two point sling, 3 carbine magazines, magazine holders fixed to duty belt/battle belt/chest rig, pistol holster with Level 1-3 retention, wraparound eye protection, ear protection, baseball cap, firearm mounted flashlight for carbine/pistol, optic and/or red dot/holographic w/magnifier, cleaning kit, water/snacks. **Optional/encouraged: BDUs/duty boots, knee pads/elbow pads.

  • Class Rate $800

  • Individual Rate" $200 (first session) then $175 per two hour session; Range fees excluded. ($60 per session)

Area Lodging

All of our training locations area have several major hotel chains within minutes of our facilities. Our Recruitment Division has secured a discounted rate for course attendees. Once seats are reserved, reservation codes will be made available. Please inquire with your sales coordinator for more specific information.

 

Arrival To Training

Attendees will arrive to training with all firearms unloaded, separate from the ammunition in a locked case. Attendees are not to arrive to the training location with loaded firearms under any circumstances. Failure to follow arrival protocol and/or course directives will result in course cancellation without refund.
