NRA Home Firearm Safety

Description

The NRA Home Firearm Safety Course course is a non-shooting course that teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary attitude for safe handling, storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. This is a non-shooting classroom based course.

Course Goal

The aim of the course is to introduce students to safe gun handling, to identify and unload different firearms, to demonstrate safe gun handling and to understand various types of ammunition, cleaning and storage of firearms. 

Lessons

  • Lesson I: Rules for Safe Gun Handling

  • Lesson II: Identifying and Unloading Different Firearms

  • Lesson III: Practical Exercises in Safe Gun Handling

  • Lesson IV: Types of Ammunition; Cleaning and Storage of Firearms

Pre-Requisites

  • Valid Photo ID

Course Duration

  • Four Hours

Provided Materials

  • Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training brochure, and course completion certificate. We provide all firearms for this non shooting course.
